Similar to duct and pipe legends, I wanted to create a function that colors cable trays based on a few common parameter values. We can color code by Type, Elevation, Service Type, Size, Width, and Height.
The script performs an override in the view. If you previously had some color settings applied through visibility graphics or filters, you can use a reset script after finishing the color coding to restore the view to its original setup.
To help the user understand which color corresponds to each value, the script will create a drafting view in a legend style, with lines on one side and the corresponding values on the other.
